Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to “The City of Love” this weekend (Sat., Sept. 6, 2025) for UFC Paris. In the main event, No. 1-ranked Nassourdine Imavov tries to lock up a title shot as he collides with No. 7-ranked Caio Borralho.

There are several up-and-coming fighters featured throughout the card this weekend, but let’s give you one to really keep your eyes on.
In Jan. 2024, I spotlighted Losene Keita as “Prospect of the Month” (check that out here), and nothing has changed since — the 27-year-old remains one of the most exciting newcomers in all of MMA, a special talent with the tools to become a superstar.
For his UFC debut, Keita draws no easy task: former Bellator champion — and certified MMA legend — Patricio Pitbull.
Keita (16-1) enters the Octagon as a former two-division OKTAGON MMA champion, where he collected both the Lightweight and Featherweight titles along with a million-dollar grand prize. What sets him apart is his relentless aggression. Every fight becomes a spectacle as “Black Panther” pressures opponents from the opening bell with ferocious Muay Thai striking and fight-ending knockout power. It’s not just chaos, though — Keita’s shown championship composure under fire, often delivering highlight-reel finishes in the biggest moments.
Complementing his striking, Keita brings real versatility. A purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with solid wrestling skills, he can adapt wherever the fight goes. Add in his charisma, international appeal from his Guinean roots and Belgian upbringing, and a knack for violence, and it’s easy to see why so many have tabbed him as the next big thing.
Keita holds a 63 percent finish rate with 10 knockouts.
But the UFC is a different animal. Pitbull, with more than double Keita’s experience, has battled the best of his era and thrives in high-stakes fights. Even if he was selling out European stadiums, competing in the Octagon can be an unforgiving proving ground. Anything can happen here.
As of this writing, Keita is a -218 favorite heading into his debut.
