Richarlison has had questions on his Tottenham Hotspur future answered as the club chase attacking options.
The Spurs attacker has started the season on fire with two goals and an assist in his first three games of the campaign.
The Brazilian found the net with a brace against Burnley on the opening day before he teed up a teammate in their shock 2-0 win over Manchester City at the Etihad the following weekend.
Thomas Frank is believed to be a fan of the 28-year-old as his new manager coming into the club to replace Ange Postecoglou this summer.
And despite Spurs’ desire to find new forward players, that is not expected to change their desire to keep hold of Richarlison who has 50 caps and 20 goals for his international side.
Richarlison will stay at Tottenham this summer
According to transfer king Fabrizio Romano, Spurs have answered the question unequivocally by insisting the frontman will remain in North London beyond the end of the transfer window.
Speaking on the player’s future, the Italian journalist revealed what he had been told on the star.
“Look, every summer we have rumours about Richarlison leaving. Every transfer window, January, summer, is always about that,” Romano told Men In Blazers podcast.
“But then it’s never close because the player is very happy at Tottenham and I’m hearing that Thomas Frank is also very happy with him.
“So I’m not sure he’s leaving. I also heard some rumours about a Newcastle player maybe being included in some deal. But I’m told that this is not the case.
“Richarlison is very happy at Tottenham. I see him staying and I see Tottenham signing two players up front before the end of the season, but not losing Richarlison.”
Newcastle United linked with Richarlison and other strikers
The alleged interest in Richarlison this window seemingly comes from Newcastle United and boss Eddie Howe who is indeed looking for fresh striker options.
Amid the Alexander Isak transfer saga that has been running all summer, the Magpies have been linked with a number of new players up front.
Chelsea star Nico Jackson has been rumoured to be a target for Newcastle which would be an alternative option to Richarlison if he remains on the list.
Another who could potentially make the move to St James’ Park in place of Richarlison would be Jorgen Strand Larsen of Wolves.
The Norwegian international reportedly told Wolves he wants a move to Newcastle United.
However he is believed to be a key player for Vitor Pereira at Molineux which may well throw a spanner in their plans.
