Lauren Murphy’s UFC career is coming to an end.
She’s set to compete this weekend (July 12, 2025) at UFC Nashville opposite Eduarda Moura, in a Flyweight contest. Speaking recently with TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, however, Murphy revealed that her Moura bout would be the final match of her professional MMA career. Fortunately, she intends to stay involved in the sport, having already completed the necessary courses to be a judge in Texas.
Lord knows Texas judging could use the help.
a title shot versus Valentina Shevchenko, who defeated Murphy via fourth-round TKO. A year later, Murphy denied Miesha Tate’s attempted Flyweight run in perhaps the biggest win of her career. She’s fought just once in the last two years, losing a brutal decision to another former champion in Jessica Andrade.
All told, her UFC record stands at 8-6 ahead of her last dance in “Music City.”
