Real Madrid forward Rodrygo was among the group of players to surround referee Quintero Gonzalez after he showed a direct red card to Alvaro Carreras.
According to MARCA, Rodrygo was the most vocal protester, demanding that the referee show respect at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid Suffer Embarrassing Defeat Against Celta Vigo
Real Madrid suffered a 2-0 defeat to Celta Vigo during their LaLiga clash at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Sunday night.
Two Real Madrid defenders saw red cards – Fran Garcia in the 64th minute and Alvaro Carreras in the second minute of injury time.
Celta made the most of their advantage, with Williot Swedberg making it 2-0 just after Madrid were down to nine men.
It was Swedberg’s second goal of the night. He scored the first goal in the 53rd minute.
Real Madrid confirm Éder Militão suffered a hamstring issue in their loss to Celta Vigo, and will reportedly miss 3-4 months.

The double dismissal was not the only blow Los Blancos were dealt against Celta. First-choice centre-back Eder Militao suffered an injury in the first half and was unable to continue.
Real Madrid have confirmed that it is a serious muscle tear in his left leg, and recovery could take around four months.
He joins Dani Carvajal, Dean Huijsen, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ferland Mendy, and David Alaba on the treatment table.
Between the injuries and suspensions, Real Madrid have two defenders available for their next LaLiga clash.

Already trailing by a goal, Real Madrid players lost their cool after Quintero Gonzalez showed Alvaro Carreras a red card for dissent. He had initially shown the defender a yellow card, but Carreras’ continued protests earned him a straight red.
Carreras initially complained, saying, “You’ve been like this the whole game.”
Federico Valverde arrived at the scene and charged the referee, saying, “You can’t kick him [Carreras] out.”
The referee showed the Real Madrid captain a yellow card for his protests.
The most vocal and aggressive protester turned out to be Rodrygo, who repeatedly said: “You have to respect where you are. You have to respect.”

The Brazilian striker was pointing to the Santiago Bernabeu pitch and the Real Madrid crest on his shirt. The referee also booked Rodrygo for his charged comments.
At the same time, Endrick saw a direct red card despite being on the bench.
According to the referee’s logs, he headed “towards the fourth official, screaming, and had to be held by members of the coaching staff.”
It was a chaotic end to what many expected to be a routine victory.
It will be interesting to see how Xabi Alonso and his men respond when Manchester City arrive for the Champions League clash on Wednesday.
